 Can I setup custom error pages?
Yes! The NetHost Control Panel includes an easy to use Custom Error Pages section which allows you to setup your own customised error pages.

 Are your servers backed up?
Yes! As well as operating a hardward raid setup we make daily backups to a second hard drive. Servers are also backed up weekly to an off-site backup server. It is always recommended however that clients maintain their own backup of their website locally.

 Can I setup password protection for certain directories?
Yes! The NetHost Control Panel allows you to setup certain directories to be password protected.

 Do you offer 'free-trials' of your service?
No. Free trials are not offered as they have the potential to cause security issues. We do offer a 30 day satisfaction guarantee however. If after 30 days you are unhappy with our services you can cancel your account for a full refund (excluding any domain name charges and which are non-refundable).

 Do I have access to update my site 24 hours a day?
Yes! You can upload files via FTP or using the NetHost Control Panel's own File Manager at any time, day or night.

 Do you support Microsoft Frontpage?
Yes! Microsoft Frontpage Extensions are currently available on all hosting accounts and can be installed via the NetHost Control Panel or upon request at account setup. Please note however that ongoing support for Microsoft Frontpage Extensions is not guaranteed as the software is no longer being updated.

 How easy is it to move my website to NetHost from my current host?
Moving from another website host requires you to upload your site to our servers and make any necessary configuration changes using our Control Panel (for email databases etc). It also requires you to change the nameservers for your domain name to those listed in the Welcome Email you will receive when you signup with us, this email includes further instructions on how to change the nameservers and we can even complete this on your behalf if you would prefer (free of charge). If you would like us to do this simply select this option when you signup.

 How long does it take for a new account to be setup?
Accounts are usually setup within a few hours of your order being received (during NZ business hours). We manually screen all new signup's to ensure no inappropriate accounts are setup (such as spammers).

 How long does it all take to switch my Existing Website over to NetHost?
The time it will take depends on how quickly you can re-upload your website and how long it takes for your domain name to resolve to our servers, this can be anywhere from 12 - 72 hours depending on the type of domain name you are using.

 If I signup, do I already have to have a domain name?
No, if you do not already have a domain name we can register one for you. Simply select this option when you complete the signup form. Pricing for domain registration, and more information on this service can be found here.

 What happens if I exceed my allocated bandwidth?
If your account reaches its bandwidth limit in a particular calendar month your site will be automatically suspended until the start of the next month, usually however we will contact you before this happens and suggest your upgrade to a higher plan to ensure your site is not suspended. You can purchase additional bandwidth for your account if needed, charges for this are listed here.

 What is your policy on SPAM?
We have a zero tolerance policy on spam. Any activities that are deemed by us to be spam will result in immediate suspension of your account pending an investigation. If you are concerned that your activities may be deemed spamming please contact us first for clarification.

 Will my site be able to be accessed without the ‘www’ at the start of the address?
Absolutely! Unlike some web hosts we do provide access to your site without the 'www' prefix.

 Why don't you offer unlimited bandwidth?
Simple, it doesn't exist! Any host claiming 'unlimited bandwidth' is lying and will usually include a clause in there terms and conditions along the lines of "Unlimited Bandwidth within reason". If you are concerned our bandwidth limits will be insufficient for your needs please contact us, we may be able to offer a custom hosting solution that better suits your needs.
