How many email accounts do I get?
Each NetHost hosting plan features a different allocation of email accounts. You can find this information on our hosting plans comparison page here. The number of email accounts allocated to your plan is also listed on your NetHost Control Panel.

How do I add new email addresses?
You can add new email account, either a normal POP account by logging into the NetHost Control Panel and selecting "Email Accounts" and then "Add new email account". We can also complete this on your behalf if you would prefer, simply submit a support request.

What are the email login details?
The mail server addresses for your account will be included in the 'Welcome Email' you receive when your hosting account is setup. These will look like this:

POP3 (Incoming Mail Server)
mail.your-domain.co.nz
SMTP (Outgoing Mail Server) mail.your-domain.co.nz

The username for your email accounts will be the full email address (i.e. if your email address is john@your-domain.co.nz your email login will be: john@your-domain.co.nz).

The password will be whatever you choose as the password when you set the account up in the NetHost Control Panel.

How do I setup my email accounts in Outlook or Outlook Express?
We have developed a number of simple to follow guides to help setup your new email address in your email software. These can be found in the NetHost Client Area at http://www.nethost.net.nz

What's the 'default' address?
The default address is where all email goes to if no actual email account exists for the address which a piece of email has been sent.

For example if you have two email accounts, john@your-domain.co.nz and sue@your-domain.co.nz and someone sends an email to jack@your-domains.co.nz, because the jack@your-domain.co.nz address does not exist the message will be sent to the default address instead.

The default address can be an defined as an email address you have created at your domain name, or an email address separate to your hosting account (i.e. an email account at your ISP or hotmail).

By default however the default address is set to :fail: - this means any email will bounce back to the sender.

To change the default address for your account , select "Email Accounts" from the NetHost Control Panel and select the "Default Address" icon.

Can I alter the MX Record to use other email services (such as everyone.net)?
Yes! We are able to support external email, please submit a support request to have this setup for your account.

Do you provide a webmail service for me to access my email?
Yes! We provide three different webmail applications: Neomail, Horde and Squirrelmail.

How do I login to webmail?
You can login to webmail using the Client Login form on the NetHost Clients Area homepage (http://www.nethost.net.nz), simply select "Webmail" from the dropdown list of login options and enter your login details.

Alternatively you can access your webmail login directly by pointing your web browser to http://www.your-domain.co.nz/webmail/
