Domains names are all around us - nethost.co.nz for example is a domain name, so are google.com and trademe.co.nz

A domain name for your business is an important part of projecting a professional image. In order to make full advantage of your NetHost web hosting account you will need a domain name to use.

When you come to order a NetHost web hosting account you will be asked to enter a domain name which you wish to have hosted. At this point you can choose a domain name which you already own (i.e. one which you have registered already) or you can enter a new domain name and elect to have us register this for you.

All domains we register on a clients behalf will be registered in the clients own name, you will be the legal owner of the domain and can transfer the domain name to another host or provider at any time.

How much does domain registration cost?
Domain registration is an annual charge, paid in advance. Listed below are our charges for domain name registration and renewal.

What if I already own a domain name?
If you have already registered a domain name which currently is not in use, or use a domain name with another hosting provider which you would like to now use with NetHost you will need to alter the Nameservers assigned to that domain name to make it direct to the NetHost web server.

We provide extensive documentation on how to make this change and can even complete this on your behalf free of charge - simply select this option in the Transfer Options section of the signup form. Note that if you select this option you will need to provide us with the login details for your domain name registrar (the place where you registered your domain name).
